The four students, who are all secondary school students in Tripoli, Libya, arrived in West Yorkshire in July. They spent their three months at Leeds Language Academy, attending (ELBC) English Language Beginners Course, whilst staying at local family residency. On top of their studies, the students also had the opportunity to sample a taste of Yorkshire life, enjoying a trip to the Yorkshire Dales as well as indulging in a traditional Yorkshire Sunday lunch with their host families.
Mr. Matin, ELBC Co-ordinator at Leeds Language Academy commented: “The Libyan students were a pleasure to have. They fitted in with their classmates and made lots of friends whilst they were here. They also studied hard and all did very well in all their classes. I know they had a great time and are all planning to return to the Yorkshire region on holiday as soon as they can.” |
